ConfigObj is now in portage as dev-python/configobj so is dev-python/nevow
Now wait a minute, i got this thing running:
duoMe bin # ./coherence
no config file '/root/.coherence' found
WARN coherence Nov 25 18:23:02 Coherence UPnP framework version 0.5.9 starting... (coherence/base.py:265)
WARN coherence Nov 25 18:23:02 hostname can't be resolved, maybe a system misconfiguration? (coherence/base.py:292)
WARN webserver Nov 25 18:23:02 WebServer on port 52059 ready (coherence/base.py:110)
...but do i have to leave it running, how does the rhythmbox plugin run it? How does the plugin know how to find it? With that PYTHONPATH var?! Rhythmbox still throwing the same error message...
"Unable to activate plugin DLNA/UPnP sharing and control support"...
Haven't got much time lately to play around or even develop something with/for coherence. So I would point you to the #coherence channel at Freenode-IRC. There you'll find the main developer (dev) and several others that can help you with these kind of problems. Soon I will have Gentoo back on my machine and install Coherence again and try out all the cool new features that were added since I wrote this post.

As I posted yesterday, Elisa is now using the Coherence framework for accessing UPnP media servers. There is currently no stable version hence no package to download and no ebuild for the Gentoo users. So here's my little guide to help you installing Coherence.
